Nutritional drink shop to debut in Ozark

Just over a year after Ashley Bryan opened a healthy drink shop in Nixa, she’s poised to do the same next month in Ozark.

The owner of Ozark Nutrition said she’s targeting an Oct. 12 opening for her new venture at 103 S. Third St., Ste. A. It’ll join Nixa Nutrition LLC, which she launched with co-owner Megan McCorcle in September 2019.

Like its sister shop in Nixa, Ozark Nutrition’s menu will offer roughly 50 shake flavors and 20 energy teas. The shakes act as a meal replacement, Bryan said, and offer 24 grams of protein and 21 vitamins. Most are between 200-300 calories. The energy teas, with supplements added, are around 140-340 calories.

“Right now, there’s so much fast food around here, and I wanted to offer some more healthy options,” Bryan said.

Shake prices, which include flavors such as banana nut bread and key lime pie, are around $7. Bryan said the teas begin at $6 with mango berry and lemon drop among the flavors.

Bryan is on a one-year lease for an undisclosed rate with landlord Kyle Estes. She declined to disclose startup costs for the roughly 1,000-square-foot shop.

The Ozark business is the third such shop in three years for Bryan, who first opened Malvern Nutrition Club in Malvern, Arkansas. A Missouri native, Bryan said she moved to Arkansas for a couple of years and started the business in 2018. She remains owner of the shop, but is no longer involved in day-to-day operations.

“I just missed Missouri and decided to move back here,” she said.

Bryan said she connected with the nutritional drinks as a way to address weight loss, noting they helped her lose around 100 pounds in one year.

“I just want to help other people be healthier, too,” she said.
